In spring I am gay in handsome array

Riddle: In spring I am gay in handsome array; in summer more clothing I wear; when colder it grows I fling off my clothes; and in winter quite naked appear. What am I?

This riddle here is a pretty easy one to find its answer. As we all learned in primary school, trees shed their leaves in winter, and they bloom again once spring comes. Therefore, trees wear gorgeous dresses in spring, their flowers, and they wear more clothing in summer which means more flowers.

However, once you feel the cold in the air, tree start to take off their clothes, meaning they shed their leaves and flowers. Also, they are quite naked when the winter comes, meaning they hardly have a leaf on them. The answer of this riddle is a tree.
