Riddle: I had $13.00. My Mom gave $10.00. My Dad gave $30.00. My Aunt, My Uncle and grandma gave me $100.00. I had another $7.00. How much did I have?
This is not easy riddle. There are lots of dollars 🙂 Let’s count my dollars 🙂
Please read the riddle again. Be carefull for the “tense”. Let’s look step by step.
- I had $13.00.
- My Mom gave $10.00.
- My Dad gave $30.00.
- My Aunt, My Uncle and grandma gave me $100.00.
- I had another $7.00.
Firstly I want to say the answer is not 160 dollars. Because, riddle is asking “how much did I have?”. So, before the mom, dad, aunt and uncle gave me dollars. Now, sum the all dollars I had.
- I had $13.00.
- I had another $7.00.
From this information from riddle, I had only 13 + 7 = 20 dollars 🙂
Hard Riddle: On my way to St. Ives I saw a man with 7 wives. Each wife had 7 sacks. Each sack had 7 cats. Each cat had 7 kittens. Kitten, cats, sacks, wives. How many were going to St. Ives?
It is not clear in the question weather that LARGE family is going to St. Ives or not.
So only the person who saw them is going to the St. Ives.
Again , If we assume that they all r going to St. ives ,then :
1 Man + 7 Wife + 49 sacks + 343 Cats + 2401 Kittens = 2801.
But all this is not possible that someone is carrying 343 cats.
All upto reader what they want or assume the situation.
Riddle: A man was found murdered on Sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police. The police questioned the wife and staff and got these alibis: The Wife said she was sleeping. The Cook was cooking breakfast. The Gardener was picking vegetables. The Maid was getting the mail. The Butler was cleaning the closet. The police instantly arrested the murderer. Who did it and how did they know?
If you want to find the answer of this riddle, you need to be extra careful reading or listening to the question. The man’s wife’s and The Cook’s alibis are valid since the incident happened on a Sunday morning so, sleeping and cooking breakfast make sense. Also, The Gardener’s and The Butler’s alibis are valid as well, for picking vegetables and cleaning the closet may be common Sunday chores. However, The Maid’s alibi is illogical because it was a Sunday morning and there are no mails on Sundays. Therefore, the police easily found the murderer by only listening to their alibis.
The answer of this riddle is the Maid.
Hard Riddle: 7 Men Have 7 Wives. Each Man And Each Wife Have 7 Children. What’s The Total Number Of People?
We have two differant solution for this riddle. Let’s look the all answer step by step.
Answer 1 Solution 1:
7 men’s have 7 wives , so that will be 7 + 7 = 14.
Then, each wife got 7 children more, so that will be 7 x 7 = 49.
Then we add the children to the men’s and wives and we get 49 + 14 = 63.
So total number of people is 63.
Answer 2 Solution 2:
For children: 7 Men * 7 Wives * 7 Child = 343 people
For Wives: 7 Men * 7 Wives = 49 people
For Men: 7 Men = 7 people
Let’s find the sum of all people.
343 + 49 + 7 = 399 People
Hard Riddle: An old man wanted to leave all of his money to one of his three sons, but he didn’t know which one he should give it to. He gave each of them a few coins and told them to buy something that would be able to fill their living room. The first man bought straw, but there was not enough to fill the room. The second bought some sticks, but they still did not fill the room. The third man bought two things that filled the room, so he obtained his father’s fortune. What were the two things that the man bought?
This riddle here forces you to think hard and logically to find the answer of it. The old man gives a few coins to each of his three sons and expect them to buy something that will fill the room with it. It sounds a bit impossible and illogical isn’t it? It is not if you figure out that this thing does not have to be something tangible.
The third son buys a candle and a box of matches and when he lights the candle, the light of the candle fills the entire room. Therefore, the father gives him all his money and that is the answer of this riddle.
Answer: The wise son bought a candle and a box of matches. After lighting the candle, the light filled the entire room.
Hard Riddle: Joe and Sally were sitting in their family room one night. While Joe was watching T.V, his wife Sally was reading. All of a sudden the power went out and Joe decided to go to bed, but Sally kept on reading. With no use of artificial light, Sally kept on reading. How?
In order to find or understand the answer of this riddle you need to know what Braille is. Braille is a system of printing for blind people, in which each letter is represented as a raised pattern that can be read by touching it with the fingers.
Therefore, when the power goes out while Joe decides to go to bed Sally can stay awake and keep on reading her book and she did not need any sort of artificial light to read a book.
The answer of this riddle is that Sally is blind, and she is reading a book by Braille.
