A car or train is traveling at 60 mph. If the rate of speed increases 4 mph each hour, how long will it be before the car is traveling at a rate of 80 mph?

It is an easy math question. Lets look the answer together.

A) 4 hours
B) 5 hours
C) 6 hours
D 7 hours​

Solution:

The speed increases 4 mph every hour from 60 to 80.

80 mph – 60 mph = 20 mph.

20 mph / 4 mph = 5 hours 🙂  Answer is B.
